Vancouver-based 4-piece Brasstronaut have completed recording their debut album entitled ‘Mount Chimaera’. The album picks up where 2008’s ‘Old World Lies’ EP left off, but with a twist and will be released on Unfamiliar Records (Japandroids/Paper Cranes etc). Fresh from the success of their ‘09 Iceland Airwaves show (where they were joined on stage by Sigur Ros’ horn section), the guys embark on a 8 week promo tour in the US starting in early Feb and finishing up at SXSW (dates here).
